How to Study Efficiently Before Final Exam

 I can still manage to learn and understand the subjects in degree time compare than my diploma time. In diploma time, I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I STUDY. Even in the final examination, I failed at 5 times and I have to repeat the subjects again about 1 year and a half. Why? I considered myself as a hardworking person and I always have a time to study but I didn't have a partner to study with me. My classmate did help me but I still can never understand what they taught me. So I took initiative to study myself. At first, I didn't know how to start, then I found a video on YT but I can't remember the title was. But here's a definitely things I follow to make myself understand the subject.

1. Focus on a subject that you want to study and list all the topic in the subject. Example Accounting. So in Accounting, there are main topics such share based payments(MFRS 2), employee benefits (MFRS 119), financial instrument (MFRS 9), presentation financial instrument (MFRS 132) and disclosure financial instrument (MFRS 7). So there were like 5 main topics to cover.

2. Make notes about the topic. Example, we start off with first topic which is MFRS 2. Therefore make notes about MFRS 2. You don't have to necessarily understand all of it at once. Just copy the note from your textbook and write in on your notebook, your own writings. Highlight the words if you feel that it is important. If you can't understand some word, google the meaning and put a side note. 

3. Watch a lecture video of YT video explaining the topic. Then, watch your lecturer videos or google video that makes you understand about the topic. Based on what you just write in your note, you can finally understand what you just write and the explanation of it. It helps you focus more to the topic. 

4. Refer the past final examination paper from last years or years before. Go to the library or find the question paper about the subject and study what questions usually they ask in the paper. For example, 

2017-Difference employee benefit in two companies

2018-Advatange practicing employee benefit in company

2019-Company without employee benefit

2020-Types of employee benefit

2021-Limitation of employee benefit

Do note: that sometime the question might reappear again in next paper or sometimes not. But your only options is to include all of it in case it will reappear in next paper. 

5. Do exercise based only on the past examination papers. So based on the papers you have analyzed, answer all the question and repeat if you feel needed. After you had done your exercises, read all the note you have written in the beginning before sitting the final examination. 

If you're studying everyday, you will have time before the final exam and refresh your memory and maybe you can do the final exam without stress. However, if you doesn't have time to study and only have a little time before exam, do only the past year exam paper because you don't have time to read. In conclusion, please study before the final examination approximately a week before. Or a month before the date.
